I'm an animal lover. I must love them unconditionally because they have no ego or evil in them. People betray each other and do many evil things. Animals keep me a loving person.
If I was a wealthy man, I would create a big animal sanctuary where I would live with abandoned and rescued animals brought to me. That's it. What other motive would I need to write an animal resource book.
I think animals in general are more loving to people than people love each other because people have the ability to be selfish, jealous, greedy and evil. Animals are simpler and purer. There are no ulterior motives there.
